Accelerated SEC Form 8-K Disclosure Requirements

In response to Section 409 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, the Securities and Exchange Commission adopted accelerated disclosure requirements for companies reporting developments on SEC Form 8-K. Prior to amending the Form 8-K reporting requirements, companies were required to disclose eight types of events within five business days or 15 calendar days depending on the event.
